GRAPHIC DESIGN PROCESS
My typical graphic design process flow is shown here. Clients are generally required to make a down payment of 50% when we sign the agreed Statement Of Work (SOW) with the balance due upon completion. Business branding, logo creation, magazines and brochures are all in my wheelhouse.
- Examine – the design process starts with learning your needs and what your business is all about
- Statement of Work – summarizing what I heard from you, I will detail my design approach including a cost breakout
- Research – drawing inspiration from you, your social media content and your industry, I begin to develop a plan of attack
- Sketch – rough layouts of your design are prepared as a foundation for the next stage
- Design – using the Adobe Creative Suite tools, I create up to three designs for your review
- Review – client critiques the artwork and makes revision suggestions…these must be bound by original SOW or refreshing the quote is required
- Delivery – with final revision approval, the artwork is provided in (pdf) print ready format and / or applicable digital formats

Stephen retired from Honeywell in 2010 and then returned to school for a second degree in Web / Graphic Design. He now lives with his wife, Cheryl, in Anna, TX where he owns TriCity Graphic Design, a full service graphic / web design agency and can often be spotted shooting the local scene with his Canon 80d.
